Critical Incident Response for Civilians Course

The Critical Incident Response for Civilians (CIRC) course is a practical, confidence-building training designed to help responsible citizens respond calmly and effectively during emergencies. The course addresses real-world incidents such as school safety events, public-place emergencies, and serious accidents—without fear-based or tactical instruction. Participants learn what to expect during critical incidents, how first responders operate, and how mindset and simple medical skills can save lives. The course includes age-appropriate guidance and hands-on practice with bleeding control and tourniquet application, empowering individuals to stay calm, follow direction, and care for others until help arrives.

Building confidence to act during emergencies 

Learn practical skills, mental preparedness, and lifesaving techniques to confidently respond during critical incidents, from active threats to accidents in public places. Must be at least 14 years old to participate.

To secure your spot in the CIRC course, you must:  

1. Complete Registration Form

The course will be hosted at <insert address> on February 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00pm CST. You'll be expected to arrive 15 minutes early so class can start on time. All students must be at least 14 years old. If student is under 18, parental/guardian consent is required.

2. Sign the required waiver

All students (minors and adults) must sign the required waiver. For students under 18, there is an additional consent form that must be signed by a parent or guardian. The waiver must be signed prior to the course or student will not be allowed to participate.

3. Submit course payment

The course is $150 per student. If two members of the same family attend, the first family member is $150 then any additional family members will be discounted to $100 each. The maximum # of students for the course is 25 to ensure adequate instructor coverage.
